Fusion Lamps Warranty

Warranty Period

At Fusion Lamps we offer a warranty on many of our LED products, the warranty period can vary from 1 – 3 years.

The warranty period commences from the date the product was purchased and proof of purchase will be required to redeem the warranty. This purchase must have been made from a Fusion Lamps authorised wholesaler and not procured second hand at an auction or by any other means.

Warranty Terms And Condition

Fusion Lamps will repair or replace a faulty or defective product within the warranty period. A product is deemed faulty or defective if it fails to illuminate or alternatively if the lumen output falls outside of the stated lumen maintenance. For LED Lamps this is often L70/B50. If the product has been discontinued or is no longer available, we will provide a product with the closest available specification but Fusion Lamps is not responsible for any miss match with any other products on site.

The warranty does not cover damage due to misuse or negligence, accidental damage, acts of god, water damage, general wear & tear and installations in violation of any applicable standard code (eg.BS 7671) or instructions.

The warranty only covers products applied within “intended” or “normal use” as defined below:

  • The operating conditions are in accordance with the information supplied on the packaging, instructions or Fusion Lamps website.
  • The warranty is based on a maximum operating period of 14 hours per day.
  • The ambient temperature never exceeds the operating temperature range of -20°C to +40°C.
  • The relative humidity in the installation doesn’t exceed 80% RH, or exceed the IP rating of the lamp / luminaire.
  • Lamps are not subjected to more than the stated switching cycles on the packaging.
  • Lamps that are used in a luminaire should have a minimum 10mm air flow around the lamp excluding the cap.
  • The electrical installation in which the lamp or luminaire operates is not subjected to voltage fluctuations exceeding 230V +10% or -6%.

Fusion Lamps are not liable for any consequential costs such as labour, transport, loss of profit and access equipment in relation to this warranty.

At Fusion Lamps’ request, access shall be given to the installation to carry out further investigations in to the failure cause and applicability of the warranty.

In the event of a failure or defect occurring, the product shall be returned to Fusion Lamps, Millfield Industrial Estate, Bentley, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom, DN5 0SJ. The carriage cost to return the product shall be covered by the customer. Upon receiving the product Fusion Lamps will be allowed time to investigate the source of the problem.

If it is concluded that the issue is due to manufacturing or material defect, Fusion Lamps will repair or replace the product, the carriage cost for the replacement will be covered by Fusion Lamps. NB. Only faulty or defective products will be replaced.

Fusion Lamps reserves the right to make the final decision on the validity of the claim.
